I must admit that I myself is a certified 'Jadine,' but it's not too long ago when I became. Before the showing week of 'Talk Back and You're Dead (TBYD),' I got the chance to watch Jadine's first blockbuster movie 'Diary ng Panget (DNP),' guess what? I find it cute and I truly see a spark on their love-team, its kinda new for me, I don't know but I was hooked by their team-up when I first saw them in a movie. That's why I have this anticipation feeling of watching their second movie 'TBYD.'
I haven't read the book when I have watched TBYD, but I know this movie involves also this gangster thingy which I guess is really in, today. For those who haven't yet watched TBYD and planning to watch it soon, I suggest that 'don't watch Diary ng Panget prior to TBYD,' well this is just my suggestion coz as I have mentioned that I did this, watched DNP prior to TBYD. Because maybe you would see or somehow expect that TBYD would also be like DNP which is a so much sweet, light, movie for me, because it's not.
I don't know why there is a movie poster that is themed colorfully with these bright colors, it's fine and very nicely done actually, but all I can see colors of the credits in the movie is only black, white and red which I see is, because of this poster design, it misleads to the movie itself, though I know that there is also this dark themed poster, pero wala lang, napansin ko lang hahaha.
During the presscon of TBYD, the writer revealed that 'Meteor Garden' is an inspiration to this story and honestly yes, some scenes are obvious, though on the other hand, there are scenes that you would only see in this film. Actually the transition of events in the movie was a bit fast, maybe because of the compromised run-time of the movie but! I love how the kilig scenes are preserved from the fast-phased story and I loved how they made scenes like simply nakakakilig like the 'hubby and wifey' thing in the movie, I promise, this is one of Jadine's highlight in the movie, also the one with the piano scene, of course in the beach, lastly the 'napkin,' etc., I may be spoiling it, sorry :)
In terms of acting in the movie, I'm really impressed with James Reid's performance he really has a good future ahead in this business, he cries, act very natural and subtle.Yassi here is also good, she's more exposed to acting here than in DNP, she also cries good for me. I don't know but in this film, I think Nadine was having a hard time to cry, nevertheless her innocent look fits her role here. For Joseph Marco, his acting was fine as well and he really looks good to be a gangster by his body-build.
Actually the movie is not that perfect, I mean is there? I want to emphasize that yes this movie is a bit fast-phased with a also a bit dark, but we should not dwell on it anymore, instead we should be focused on the heart-filled scenes of the movie because this story, I guess is an outlet of fantasies that we all do have in the name of love, I mean "kung kilig din lang, eh kilig na kilig ka na sigurado dito!" hahah. If you're a girl and want to experience or feel to be treated as a princess, watch this! If you're a guy who is in need of ideas to make your girl go kilig, watch this! Or whatever you are you have to watch this! or you're dead man!
Movie Rate: 3/5

Okay, let me be straightforward, 'Somebody To Love' is the best film of Regal I've seen up to date! and I am giving this movie a score of perfect 5 from 1 to 5. Honestly, if you would see the movie poster itself, maybe you would hesitate to watch it because you would think that this is just another kilig-kiligan corny movie, and you would ask how will it work to have 11 lead cast? and since it's entitled 'Somebody To Love' you would thought that this movie has a soundtrack of 'Somebody to love' like Justin Bieber's, etc heheh, you know that Filipino movies are fond of that, the title of the movie soundtrack is also the title of the movie and I really wanna get rid of that, because I felt that I would rather just listen to the song because I know that the story would just be how the song is.
Somebody To Love Movie Review
My hesitation of liking and anticipating this movie is gone until we had the Bloggers' conference if the movie. Direk Joey Reyes really made me go round and look forward this movie, I really love how directors talk about their films, you would really feel how they are exciting for the movie and you will be amazed by the ideas they have. We bloggers are so much thankful for Regal films for always inviting us bloggers and giving us slots in their premiere nights, at least we felt that we're prioritized here, unlike with this other movie outfit, LOL! I'm not mentioning it hahah!
Going back to the movie, few minutes watching, I thought that it would make my head, ache, cause every few minutes, the scenes are transferring to another scene to another character, because this film is simultaneously showing different characters' life, not individual stories, I commend Direk Joey for making it just perfectly at ease, I mean the transitions are smooth, you wouldn't be lost with the story, in fact in this movie, there is no dead air. This movie really made me realize how our lives are interconnected with each other because as like in Facebook, we have our mutual friends and sometimes we were surprised to visit a friend's timeline and found out that you have friends in common, like that, and its really fun to see watch this movie because you will have a chance to be like God, I mean you will see everything behind the characters in the movie, you know everyone's story in the movie, how they are connected, their conflicts etc. Somebody to love is a movie that tackles life, so watching this movie would really made you realize what is life, how is having somebody to love? The title just really fits the movie. Basta masasabi ko talaga na this movie is just so perfect, no dead air, you'll be crying laughing!

Hello again! My online diary! It's been a while since my last post here, anyhow, I'm back from my busy life, LOL!
Well, let's talk about VIVA Films' latest movie offering 'Trophy Wife,' starring John Estrada, Heart Evangelista, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes, which is directed by Andoy Ranay.
Actually this is my first movie invite from VIVA Films, honestly I was like hesitant to attend because I rarely had a chance recently to witness their movies but after watching 'Trophy Wife,' I thought of expecting more from this movie outfit.
The movie is okay for me, or maybe more than ok :) I find it straightforward and unique, given that it revolves again about wife/mistress that we're having most types of movies lately. It is unique for me in a sense that it gives me more than what I have expected from it, it was not that predictable at all, it was like a 'climb' because it maintains to increase its intensity as you go further watching the movie, the lines of the characters were remarkable and having its originality because I remembered lines, jokes, that I haven't heard from other movies that I've seen before. The cast is really a well cast to watch, I think they really got perfect cast that delivered the characters perfectly, I commend them by gathering these big stars (John Estrada, Heart Evangelista, Cristine Reyes, and Derek Ramsay). Of course there were some loop holes to see, but is also given for a film to have these, I mean there's no perfection at all.
If you're after romance, love, friendship, sisterhood, brotherhood, family, horror, suspense, comedy or even seduction is covered by this film. So treat yourself a movie time with your friends, families etc and enjoy 'Trophy Wife' started showing last July 30.
