Some of us, if not all, may have seen or heard this news of free cakes to be given free if Rody Duterte wins for president. He did, so what now? this is the big question for everyone who knew the announcement. 

I was one of the many netizens who knew this declaration and I'm one of the ones who's hoping to have a free cake!

And just recently, I got an invite from Quims Bakeshop for a review and I confirmed that yes, they are giving away free cakes and they are staying true to their promise.

When I went there, in fact it's their first day of giving away cakes, it's a slice though but still cake is cake! and I appreciate that they made effort to push their made promise, contrary to saying that "Promises are made to be broken."

The first claimant of the free cake was all the way from Parañaque, and when asked what made him still be interested to claim a slice of cake even he is that far from Quims cake? he answered he just really wanted to prove if Quims Bakeshop is keeping their promise. Chef Jack Labang who made the announcement of free cakes, personally handed the free cake to the first claimant. Since Quim's cake promised to give 5m worth of free cakes, it distribution may take to 5 years. The cakes will be given away every 1st and 15th of every month (until they reach the P5 million target) to the first 50 customers who register via email (quimscake@yahoo.com) or visit their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/quimscakebakeshopcafe for more information.

Apart from cakes, Quim's Bakeshop has many more to offer. I've tasted some of their menu during my visit there, like their Bolognese Pasta, Red Hot Dory Burger, Pulled Pork BBQ Burger, Roasted Pork Belly and and I must say they really have good tasting food. They have pastas, burgers, sand wiches, pizzeta, all day breakfast and main courses. Aside from cakes for desserts they have Ice quims (Ice creams), cookies and even doughnuts! So definitely they have all of what you can crave for!

Krispy Kreme is definitely my favorite when it comes to donuts. So when I received an invitation to the launch of Krispy Kreme at the South (Evia Lifestyle Center), I responded yes quickly. It is also an opportunity to attend event in the South, because usually I go to Manila, QC area to attend events.

Krispy Kreme open its 7th concept store in the world at Evia Lifestyle Center. In the concept store, donuts are baked in the store itself. We are lucky to have one here in the Philippines, and I feel even more lucky to have it in the South are which is near to me.

It's undeniable that I, myself is a Jadine fan! Yes and I love it! You know maybe this time I have just accepted and I am happy that love still works even just for Jadine (Hugot LOL).

I am on of those who is anticipating to see their latest film "This Time," and yes I have seen it, and lucky enough to be one to witness it on its premiere night and watch it with the cast and Jadine themselves!

I will try to make my review, non-spoiler, or maybe I'll just tell you the positive side of the movie because there's really nothing perfect, even in movies there will be a floss, so I will be just emphasizing the positive side, lets juts keep the goodvibes here.

Okay, the movie was cute in general, the theme was dark (Long distance relationship, non-labeled relationship) but it was executed in a way that you will still be wishing even to have that situation, just to say you are in love and you just love the idea of being in love because Jadine is really expert on that, to make us giggle, I have proved this many times, and now there's really no question to that, its their unexplainable magic!

I expected the movie to be somewhat heavy dramatic, that's why I prepared my emotions well LOL, lukcy enough, Candy Pangilinan here is I think 99.9% havey in all of her punge lines here! and Candy Pangilinan's character saved the movie to be that dramatic and I liked it, because maybe I should've cried if without her in the movie, and I really don't want to cry, I'm so done with crying! LOL, so thank you Candy for your humour in this movie. 

But personally I was still hit by the movie, especially if you are in a long distance relationship, or in a non-labeled relationship, special-friend zone, I have been in a special-friend zone relationship before and what they have depicted in Coby (James Reid) and Ava (Nadine Lustre) characters are really realistic most especially THIS TIME. That's why people who are in these kind of situations should watch this movie because they might've get some tips on how to deal with these kinds of situation.

The Japan scenes are really worth-watching, its really beautiful to see Jadine in that kind of setting, perfect! beautiful scenery, beautiful partners, perfect kiss! Cherry blossoms! Very romantic!

This Time movie has really tackled different aspects in life, like Love, Friendship, Family, even Sexuality! and Life itself so I its really worth-watching! Therefore I'm giving it a 3.75 out of 5 rating

Finally I've been to Palawan! But only been to Puerto Princesa, so I'm so excited to be back the soonest to visit Coron and El Nido and other famous places there, I just loved Palawan. I'll be also sharing my experience in Puerto Princesa City Tour, Honda Bay and The Underground River here. For now let's talk about hotel first, let me share my experience and review of Asturias Hotel Palawan.

After flying from Manila to Puerto Princesa Airport that I think took one hour. There's a hotel transfer provided by the hotel. 

I immediately saw kuya with the signage of the name of the hotel (Asturias Hotel). Asturias Hotel isn't that far from the airport. It takes only 20 minutes or less travel time, and most of the hotels are also just along the airport.

Asturias Hotel Palawan is definitely one of the best and luxurious hotel in Puerto Princesa to stay at. So I'm giving it a 3.5 out of 5 rating. If there's only complain I have, is that the staff failed to remind me of the checkout time, I know its 2 pm, but its first time for me to have a tour in my last day, so what happened is I was charged for late checkout. I don't know, maybe for the excitement of the tour, I forgot or I did not anticipated that we can return to the hotel at the right time to have checked out, anyway that's my only concern, no staff in the reception reminded me, when in the morning I have talked to them for the tour that day. But nevertheless, it was a pleasure-able stay at Asturias Hotel Palawan.
